Azure Town is in the bottom of their small territory, receiving quite a lot of precipitation. During spring and fall, they get lots of rain. During winter, they get hit with the heaviest snows. The large village is basically a clearing surrounded by a shallow stream, where they can catch Magikarp. In the middle is a small lab with lilies growing around it; this is where the trainers starts off and gets their first Pokemon. Azure Town's borders are covered in tall trees, bordering the heavy forested route that leads to Ebony Town

The route leading away from Azure Town is spotted with tall trees. The canopy lets in some sun here and there, dappling the path with it. There are swamps, old dens that may house Pokemon, and lots of spiderwebs.

Ebony Town is northeast of Azure Town, and you are able to see the southern coastline from the town. It's only slightly larger than Azure Town, and it typically serves as a place of rest for Southern Pokemon trainers. There is a Pokemon Center, a Pokemon Mart, and some small, wooden-styled houses here and there. The trees weren't cut down to make room for the town so the architecture bases itself on the trees.

From here on out, Pokemon trainers and wild Pokemon seem to infest the forested Route Two that leads from Ebony Town to Indiga, the first "city" on your journey. Route Two is famous for its hills and long grasses that can make traveling tenuous.

Indiga City, simply called Indiga, is a place much more inland than the previous towns and it's also the site of the first Gym. While not a city in terms of towering skyscrapers, Indiga is more than a landlocked town surrounded by trees. Some consider it a paradise. It is the epitome of the Southern ideals. Indiga's buildings are built with natural materials such as wood, stones, and mud. The weather here is often balmy yet breezy, a haven for migrating Flying-type Pokemon. Many wild Pokemon here are unafraid of humans and will simply stroll out of the trees amid the paths and houses of Indiga.

Route three is an extremely short route leading from Indiga to Lunaro. It sprawls across a never-ending field with barely any hills or other deviation. A small stream runs parallel to the well-traveled path, and it's often a source of fishing.

The stream of Route Three has grown into a river, one that the Lunaro townspeople rely on for their food, drink, and supplies. The Lunaro River leads to the sea and is often a point of Northern interest. Lunaro Town holds many festivals on their hilly landscape and bless Arceus even when the river floods in the spring. Lunaro townspeople are heavily religious, and there is a tower commemorating the dead of both humans and Pokemon. In the fall, they send tiny boats with candles down the river to symbolize the souls of the dead going to the afterlife. Lunaro is well-protected by its hills, trees, and rivers.

With Lunaro being directly north of Indiga, Route Four stretches back to the south again, ending with a city that is directly east of Indiga. Route Four rides up and down Lunaro's famous hills at first and the closer it gets to Fort Hazalea, the more rocky and treacherous it becomes.

When the Southerners and their Pokemon were forced to leave after the Schism, they fled as far as they could and created Fort Hazalea on the ridges and hillsides. The fort is a naturally-made thing, carved out from the slate and granite faces. From standing atop the fort's hill, you can see Indiga and Lunaro from here. Fort Hazalea is the center of the Southern part of Byako. Despite its primitive building style of wood and stone, it protects its inhabitants well. It is the only Southern city/town that doesn't have wild Pokemon walking around, although Flying-types often perch on the high walls.

No New Posts • • mimik city

Mimik is a popular city for Neutral-aligned trainers and their Pokemon to shelter. As far as Southern technology goes, it is one of the most extensive, mainly because it was built by people who now consider themselves "Northerners". Mimik City is directly on the sea and is a sister city to Fort Hazalea, so much so that their jurisdictions touch. While there is technically a Route Five leading from Hazalea to Mimik, it's nothing more than a gravel road leading from one to the other. Mimik City is one of the largest in Southern Byako, with beautiful waters and towering skyscrapers normally foreign down here.

Between the small forest of AzureClan and the lack of forest that is the plains of HelixClan lies the massive expanse of trees that is EbonyClan. This Clan gets the least sunlight. Their camp is situated around the thickest tree in the forest. A fallen log marks where the leader speaks.

There is no place in EbonyClan territory that is absent from trees. Clanners climb so you're welcome to leap from tree to tree. There are also fallen logs everywhere. Watch out for foxes!

HelixClan gets the most sun, as the southernmost Clan. The weather here is usually dry and with little to no humidity. Rain here comes in short but powerful spurts, but HelixClanners have developed the ability to go for long times on little water. Their camp is left of center in their territory, with the burrows of other animals used as their homes. The terrain is flat in all directions, having little trees here and there, sparse grass, and rocks of all sizes.

You can see EbonyClan's border from anywhere in the territory. Long wavy grass covers the HelixClan land, and the flat, savannah-like terrain means that prey has everywhere to run and few places to hide. You'll often see cats basking or napping as often as they are hunting or patrolling.

Above AzureClan is an strip of land that goes north, ending in a single mountain. Here is where the medicine cats convene for their meetings. Often, the snow never fully melts away throughout the seasons here.

Directly east of EbonyClan is where the three Clans join for their monthly Gatherings. Although near the massive forests of EbonyClan, the terrain here is similar to HelixClan: long, flowing plains. However, some fallen logs sit near the border of EbonyClan, the towering trees making an intimidating background. That's where the leaders sit.

The massive field is west of EbonyClan and extends with few interruptions toward the sea, where the Clans used to live. The pawprints of the cats' trek away from there have vanished by now, but the area is still visited some cats, Clanners or not.

The end of HelixClan culminates as a canyon. The walls are steep and rocky, and at the long way bottom is a massive churning river that leads all the way out to the sea. Going upriver means winding through HelixClan, EbonyClan, AzureClan, and ending up at the mountain up at the Northern Cape.
